SM Entertainment Announces Red Velvet's Comeback in March

Recently on February 18 KST, Red Velvet's label SM Entertainment announced that the five-member girl group is gearing up to make a comeback after several media outlets reported on the group's upcoming release.

According to SM Entertainment, Red Velvet is currently planning to release a new album with the goal of releasing it sometime this coming March, and that preparations are already already in full swing.

Red Velvet's upcoming release will mark the group's first comeback seven months after their sixth mini-album "Queendom," which came out back in August 2021.

ReVeluv Left Confused Over Status of Red Velvet's Japanese Album 'Bloom' Release

Following the announcement of Red Velvet's comeback in March, the group's fans, ReVeluvs, felt divided on the supposedly happy news.

While many have expressed their excitement and anticipation for the return of Red Velvet with a new set of songs, many have also expressed their disappointment with SM Entertainment.

In particular, many have took to their social media to express their confusion regarding the status of Red Velvet's first Japanese studio album "Bloom," which features the title track "Wildside."

In fact, "Bloom" was initially scheduled to be released back on February 2, however, it was announced back on January 14 that the album's release would be postponed indefinitely, citing production reasons as the cause.

But now that Red Velvet is set to make a comeback with a Korean album, many fans couldn't help but wonder when SM Entertainment plans to release "Bloom," as many have been anticipating its release since December 2021.

Some comments from ReVeluv read, "Where is Red Velvet? Where is Bloom?," "It was supposed to be a joke.. that the KR [Korean] cb [comeback] would happen before Bloom.. it was supposed to be.. a joke.. not when we've ordered every version of bloom.. paid for it.. and now..," "Bloom was an illusion by Red Velvet," "So Red Velvet really just gonna have a whole Korean comeback before they release Bloom, huh," "Having mixed emotions with RED VELVET MARCH COMEBACK coz I thought Bloom will be released first," and "Bloom album???? Where is she??? @RVsmtown," among similar others.

Meanwhile, Red Velvet's "Bad Boy" music video, released back in January 2018, made history after surpassing 350 million views on Youtube, making them the first female artist under SM Entertainment to achieve this feat, and also the first music video by Red Velvet to amass such an amount of views among their previous releases.
