(G)I-DLE Yuqi & GOT7 Jackson Caught Up in Dating Rumor
On February 22, the two idols' dating rumor took the internet by storm. In particular, the speculation sparked when a media outlet photographed Yuqi and Jackson in China.

Over Weibo, videos that are apparently proofs of the dating rumor are also uploaded, immediately spreading among K-pop fans.
In context, Yuqi and her assistant arrived in their hotel accommodation in China.
However, shortly after arrival, a driver speculated to be sent by Jackson picked them up and they were allegedly taken to the male idol's house. Yuqi was also seen holding roses.

On the following day, the same driver picked up Yuqi's assistant and took her to Jackson's house before going back to the hotel. At that time, she's with Yuqi again.
Not long after, Jackson went out of his home and went straight to the airport.
On the third day, Yuqi departed for Korea and coincidentally, Jackson was spotted holding roses this time, apparently for the female idol.
This video immediately spread on various social media sites, fueling dating rumors.
(G)I-DLE to Make Comeback in March – Are Yuqi and GOT7 Jackson Really Dating or Just Collaboration?
There are divided opinions over the dating speculations. While some agreed that the two idols are indeed dating, others claimed that the two singers could actually be collaborating on a new release.

In particular, Yuqi, in May 2021 started her solo career with her single album, "A Page." She introduced two songs, "Giant" and "Bonnie & Clyde," which opened her solo career in her own country.
As Jackson, a fellow Chinese idol, already established his own career in China as a soloist, some believed that the two are actually preparing for a new release together. On top of that, Yuqi’s group, (G)I-DLE has confirmed to make a comeback this March.
With this, the speculations that the situation meant a comeback preparation increased.
Up to this point, Jackson and Yuqi haven’t confirmed or denied this rumor.
On the other hand, GOT7 Jackson and (G)I-DLE Yuqi are both Chinese K-pop idols. Other than their senior-junior relationship, the two have met a couple of times through variety shows in Korea and China.
During one episode of the Chinese variety show, "Keep Running," Jackson and Yuqi initially became a hot topic on Weibo after the male idol showed his gentleman side to the songstress.
The "Hwaa" singer who was wearing short clothing at that time showed signs of uncomfortableness; thus, when Jackson noticed it, he immediately covered her using his bag.
