During an interview with CNP, IU spoke about her favorite part of the Korean make-up routine. She stated that nowadays, Koreans value individuality. In the past, there was a standard make-up style that people gravitated to, but now, people try to match their make-up with their face shape and skin to their identity.

In that same interview, IU revealed her make-up tips. She revealed that she focuses on her skin tone the most. If her skin condition is not good (meaning it is rougher and harsher than regular), the make-up will not sit well on her skin no matter how hard she tries. Because of that, she takes good care of her skin to make sure her base products sit well on her skin.
On "Get It Beauty," IU revealed that she opts for a BB cushion for her base product. This is because she likes sheer coverage to achieve that no-makeup effect.

For her lips, IU is a huge fan of pink colors. In "Get it Beauty" she revealed that she often uses pink when she performs on stage because it helps express a bright image. The same can be said for her blush. IU also uses pink for her eyeshadow, often using pink on her lids and adding dimension with some glitter!
For her eyebrows, IU typically sticks with straight brows. Her eyebrows are not strong or harsh, perfectly framing the face. It is better to use an eyebrow mascara for softer eyebrows for this look. For eyeliner, a natural brown pen liner perfectly complements IU's natural beauty!

IU makes sure to protect her skin from the sun's harsh rays by slathering on moisturizer and sunscreen to protect her skin. The idol does not step a foot outside the house without it, and it has helped her skin look hydrated, flawless and glossy!

During an interview with CNP, IU revealed her skincare secrets. She stated that she pays attention to the basic steps of skincare. The idol is fond of the CNP Propolis Energy Ampoule, which fits her skin just right. She started using the product after her make-up artist recommended it to her.
IU never skips out on toner. She believes the product evens the skin, soothes inflammation, hydrates skin and closes up the pores. It is a skincare product that leaves your skin feeling and looking healthy. Any skin care routine would be incomplete without toner!

IU often mixes her toner with two drops of facial oil. Then, she puts the products on a cotton pad and applies the mixture to her face. She lets it sit on her skin for five minutes, giving the product just enough time to be absorbed into her skin!
IU also receives treatment from a dermatologist. However, she has stated that the core of skincare is the products you use.
