In the same year, Jung sat down for an interview with Bnt International. He revealed his life after leaving YG Entertainment.
He said, "I was continuously alone, and I became lonely. There were plenty of things I had to handle because I was alone, so I was mentally stressed out."
Despite not achieving success with his debut single, Jung Jinhyung remained in the entertainment industry. He released his first album, "Soar," in 2019. This product, however, also failed to attract attention from the public.
Also, in 2019, he was rumored to compete in Mnet's survival show "Produce X 101." In response to this, S.F.R. Entertainment said that he will not participate because he wanted to focus on his solo career.

The soloist made his latest comeback in May 2021 with his third EP "Whimsical," which features the title song "Back."
The former YG trainee rarely updates his Instagram account with photos. He seems to have become secretive and cautious in sharing his daily activities following his dating rumor with (G)I-DLE Miyeon.
