TWICE Jihyo Left Shocked After Learning About NMIXX Kyujin's Birth Year
If you have been a fan of TWICE, you may be aware that the group's leader Jihyo, had been with her label JYP Entertainment since she was very young.
In fact, Jihyo joined JYP Entertainment to become a trainee on July 15, 2005, when she was just eight years old and was in elementary school. Jihyo made her debut as a member of TWICE in October 2015. This would mean the idol was a trainee for an entire decade up until she was 18 years old.
With that in mind, Jihyo recently took to the fan messaging app Bubble on March 22. She talked with fans about various things that has been happening in her life these past days. In particular, she shared with fans a shocking discovery that she just made about rookie girl group and fellow labelmate junior, NMIXX's Kyujin.

On Bubble, Jihyo said, "Guys, just now I think I heard something shocking. NMIXX's maknae (youngest member) was born after I joined the company...? Eyy. But that is because I joined the company when I was very young right?? I am shocked at how young she is."
Kyujin, who was born on May 26, 2006, is currently 15 years old and the youngest member of NMIXX.
Kyujin was born nearly a year after Jihyo joined JYP Entertainment. This makes the TWICE member's reaction to her young age quite understandable.

The two JYP Entertainment artists have an age gap of only nine years. It is very interesting that Kyujin was not even born yet when Jihyo decided to become a trainee at the label.
Kyujin's young age is also not a surprise in the K-Pop industry, as more young idols are beginning to make their debut. Other known idols who were born after 2005 are Billlie's Haruna (2006), LIGHTSUM's Jian (2006), IVE's Leeseo (2007), and several CLASS:y members.

In other news, the TWICE leader recently made her OST debut back on March 6. She lent her voice for the original soundtrack of tvN's romantic-comedy, "Twenty-Five Twenty-One." In this drama, Jihyo sang the song "Stardust Love Song."

Following the release of "Stardust Love Song," the song immediately entered several iTunes charts around the world, such as landing No. 13 on the Worldwide iTunes Albums chart. It landed No. 1 in the Philippines, Bolivia, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, India, and Chile.
Additionally, the song also ranked within the top 10 on the iTunes Songs Chart in several countries.
