f(x) Luna to Make Much-Anticipated Broadway Debut in Musical 'KPOP'
Luna, a member of hit Korean girl group f(x), is set to make her Broadway debut in the musical "KPOP!" She is set to take on the role of MwE.

On March 30, the producers for the upcoming Broadway musical "KPOP" announced that Luna would be making her Broadway debut in the show later this year. Following the successful off-Broadway run of "KPOP" in 2017, the musical will officially play on Broadway in Fall 2022.
Luna debuted as a theatre actress in 2010 when she played Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde." Luna has made a name for herself as a musical theatre actress in South Korea. This will be Luna's first-ever role outside of the country and her first-ever appearance in a Broadway musical.

During the in-person announcement at New York's Korean Cultural Center, Luna revealed how honored she was to be able to perform on a Broadway stage.
She said, "Anyone who has followed my career knows that musical theatre has always been one of my biggest passions. Broadway represents the epitome of achievement in my profession, so being able to bring my culture to the fans who travel here from all over the world to see a Broadway musical is an honor of a lifetime."

While talking about the musical, producers Tim Forbes and Joey Parnes commented that the driving force of "KPOP" has been to mesh the vibrant, joyful and wildly entertaining world of K-pop with the powerful storytelling of Broadway. They stated that this musical is something that no one has ever seen before on stage.

"KPOP" is complete with catchy songs, passion, epic production values, and heart. When talking about Luna joining the cast, the producers stated, "In the world of K-pop, there is no one who embodies these elements better than Luna."
The products also expressed their excitement to introduce the Broadway audience to one of the "most exciting superstars in the world."

Preview performances of the musical "KPOP" are slated to begin on October 13 at the Circle in the Square Theatre in New York. Opening night for "KPOP" is scheduled to take place on November 20.
