'HIT' & 'Rising' Artists April 2022: (G)I-DLE, Stray Kids, GOT7 Jay B, Secret Number
Who are the most popular K-pop idols in April? Based on Mubeat's data, Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, GOT7 Jay B, Secret Number reigned the music scene for this month.
On April 15, the global K-pop platform Mubeat released its April chart of Artist Report.
(G)I-DLE, Stray Kids Crowned as HIT Artists for April 2022
According to the fandom-data platform, Stray Kids and (G)I-DLE have been named "HIT of the Month" following incredible feats this April.
In particular, for the male category, Stray Kids proved its status as a "Fourth-Gen Leader" after the release of its sixth mini-album "ODDINARY" with its lead track, "Maniac."
Since it was dropped on March 18, Stray Kids flaunted global power as the album topped the Billboard 200 chart at that time, maintaining its spot for three consecutive weeks.

On top of this, the group also ranked #1 and became K-pop Radar's "Artist of the Month" for March based on its YouTube MV views.
K-pop Radar said:
"Stray Kids' 'Maniac' MV exceeded 5 million views in just nine hours and 10 million views in 19 hours. It is the most popular artist who achieved 51.23 million views in about two weeks."
In the female category, (G)I-DLE was also selected as a HIT artist as a result of the success of the release of its first full-length album " I NEVER DIE" and its title song, "TOMBOY" on March 14.
The song achieved incredible record as it topped iTunes' top charts in 24 regions around the world. It also climbed on top of Korean charts including Genie, Bugs, MelOn, and more.
GOT7 Jay B, Secret Number Hailed Rising Artists in April
Along with them, GOT7 Jay B was selected as a rising artist, praising the successful release of his OST "Dive into you" for KBS2 Monday-Tuesday drama, "Crazy Love."
Although it is not an official single of the idol as a soloist, it gained much attention from listeners, the song then topped 21 countries on iTunes Top Song Chart including Brazil, Malaysia, the Philippines, and more.
"Dive into you" also debuted at #14 on the worldwide iTunes song chart and secured a spot in the Top 200 on the European iTunes song chart after entering at #173.
Last but not least, Secret Number topped the female category for rising stars through their OST "Love, Maybe" for the top K-drama, "A Business Proposal." Following its release, the track ranked #2 on Indonesia's iTunes chart, proving that the singers continue to rise in popularity.
On the other hand, the artist report of the Mubeat Lab is based on the number of music video views provided by the "Video Chart" in the app. Among the monthly releases, the highest-profile song of the month will be "HIT of the Month," and the artist who is on the rise with steady love from fans will be selected as "Rising Artist."
