During the broadcast, Rain said, "I came with TAN today, because I thought you guys might need some help in cooking."

In response to this, the show hosts asked TAN what he can cook, to which the male idol answered, "Well, I recently learned how to fry an egg." This caused everyone to laugh.

Sung Dong-il then changed the topic by asking Rain about the money he used in producing Ciipher. He asked, "Hey, Rain. How much did you invest on him and the group?"

While Rain didn't give an exact amount, he responded, "I probably could have bought a house with that money." He jokingly added, "Sometimes, I wonder why I debuted these guys as well."

Rain Company's founder further said, "But no, I'm certain that TAN will become big one day though. I can totally see it coming. He'll garner popularity in like two years. I guarantee that."

He went on, "In like two to three years, everyone will be like, 'That's TAN from the show years ago?!' That day will arrive for sure."

How Much Did Rain Invest in Producing Ciipher? Here’s What the Idol Revealed

For starters, Ciipher is the first idol group that Rain Company formed and launched. The septet debuted in March 2021 with their first mini-album "I Like You" and also held their debut showcase in the same month. Rain first announced the launch of the boy group back in December 2020.

Ciipher consists of TAN, Hyunbin, Hwi, Keita, TAG, Dohwan, and Won. Hyunbin serves as the leader of the band.

Ciipher's Recent Activities

Currently, Ciipher is gearing up for their return to the music scene with their third EP "The Code," which is due out on May 11. This mini-album will mark their second comeback since their debut.

On May 9, the septet dropped the music video teaser for "Fame," the title song of their new mini-album. Aside from "Fame," the EP will also include five B-side songs entitled "The Code," "Slam the Door," "On a Highway," "You Again," and "I'll be Here."

How Much Did Rain Invest in Producing Ciipher? Here’s What the Idol Revealed

Ciipher made their first comeback in September of last year with their second EP "Blind." Out of the five songs in the mini-album, "Blind" serves as the title track. Member TAG produced the title track, while his bandmates Keita and WON took part in writing the lyrics.

The mini-album "Blind" currently holds Ciipher's personal record for highest first-week sales. The EP sold more than 17,000 copies from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4. It surpassed their previous sales of 3,683 copies sold by their debut album "I Like You."
