'Visual Explosion': THESE 2 Former SM Artists Reunite for Pictorial in China
On May 10, pictorial photos for the luxury designer brand Valentino were shared on the official Weibo of Grazia China, a famous fashion magazine.
The models were former Girls' Generation member Jessica and EXO member Lay. The two were both from SM Entertainment but have not had any public interactions since Jessica's withdrawal from SNSD in 2014.

Until now, that is.
In their "couple" photo, Jessica matched her denim jeans with a sheer, see-through blouse. In addition, the female idol-businesswoman posed elegantly with her blue-colored luxury Valentino handbag.
On the other hand, Lay exuded a dandy and glamorous aura with a hot pink blazer and burgundy-colored slacks.

Jessica led the pictorial atmosphere by resting her arm on Lay's shoulder. Lay, on the other hand, donned a serious and stern expression.
The brand also shared several solo shots of Lay and Jessica.
When Did Jessica and Lay Leave SM Entertainment?
In September 2014, Jessica announced on Weibo that she was being forcibly removed from Girls' Generation. SM Entertainment confirmed she was no longer a member of the girl group but would still manage her solo activities.
Jessica then released a statement through her fashion line, Blanc & Eclare, stating she was asked to leave by the agency and group members.

Jessica had a few solo projects under SM Entertainment, such as films.
In August 2015, she officially departed from SM Entertainment. She signed with Coridel Entertainment in 2016 and remains there to this day.
Following the expiration of his ten-year contract, Lay officially parted ways with SM Entertainment on April 8. Notably, this is also the tenth anniversary of EXO's debut. The male idol penned handwritten letters in both English and Korean to announce his departure.

He thanked his EXO bandmates, SM Entertainment staff, and EXO-Ls for the support he received over the decade.
However, it is speculated he is still a member of EXO, and he stated he will always be Lay when his members need him.
