On May 11, a post titled "LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam's face is hilarious lol" went viral on Nate Pann. The post included a GIF of LE SSERAFIM, notably Kim Chaewon, Hong Eunchae, Sakura, and Kim Garam.

In the post, the girls are posing for the cameras. Kim Garam was seen waving a peace sign and smiling. At one point, she is seen laughing and smiling brightly as she glances at Sakura before going back to her original expression.

The user claimed that Kim Garam looked like she was forcing her expressions. This led to a rain of complaints about the idol allegedly forcing her expressions. Many claimed the idol looked fake.
