In May 2021, a set of fan-take pictures were spread onto social media and Korean online community forums. In the images, a man and woman are seen at an airport. Other photos showed the couple holding hands as they walked around. It appeared to be of two public figures, as the image included a "breaking news" sticker.

Though they were wearing masks and their faces were not seen, people believed it was ITZY's Yeji and SF9's Youngbin in the images. This is because the girl in the photo had the same red hair as Yeji at the time. For reference, ITZY was promoting "Mafia in the Morning" when the pictures made their rounds.

People believed it was Youngbin in the photo despite the mask covering his face. Many stated that the male idol has unique eyes, which ultimately gave his identity away.

The photos quickly went viral. However, many were unsure of the identity of the woman in the image. While some believed it was Yeji, others were convinced it could be Chaeryeong, as she also had red hair for their comeback.

Others believed the woman in the photo was Youngbin's older sister. The two siblings are known to be very close and act like best friends. They often enjoy outings with each other, which caused people to believe his sister simply dyed her hair.

Neither JYP Entertainment (Yeji's agency) nor FNC Entertainment (Youngbin's agency) released a statement on the matter.
