The first fun fact about VIXX Hyuk is his training period. He joined Jellyfish Entertainment in early 2012 and was a trainee for only three months before participating in Mnet's survival show "MyDOL." This program featured ten trainees under Jellyfish Entertainment who were put through various missions and activities, which will determine who gets to debut in the company's first boy group- which was later called VIXX.

About his movie appearances, the most memorable one is probably his role as Han Won Tae in the 2016 comedy-action film "Chasing." Not only did this mark his movie acting debut but also his first time winning an award as an actor, specifically the Best Action Movie New Performer Award at the 2016 Shanghai International Film Festival.
Meanwhile, his latest film appearance is on "Happy Together" (2018), where he played the older version of the main character's son, Haneul.
3. VIXX Hyuk's Parody Band "Big Byung" With N, GOT7 Jackson, and BTOB Sungjae
During his early debut days, VIXX Hyuk became part of the project boy group called Big Byung. The group was formed through the first season of the variety show "Hitmaker" hosted by Defconn and Jeong Hyeong Don. The team comprised VIXX N, GOT7 Jackson, and BTOB Sungjae.

The group name "Big Byung" was given by Sungjae. "Big" literally means "big," and "Byung" translates to "bottle" in English. They are the group "big bottle" since they are full of surprises, just like a bottle of beverages.
In Big Byung, VIXX Hyuk went by the stage name Hyuk D. He was the leader, rapper, vocalist, and also maknae.
