The 23-year-old celebrity's real name is Song Mingi. Born in Incheon, South Korea on Aug. 9, 1999, he entered the music industry as a trainee under Maroo Entertainment. He later left Maroo and joined KQ Entertainment in 2017.

In October 2017, Mingi was introduced as a member of KQ's pre-debut team "KQ Fellaz." He made his debut as a member of ATEEZ one year later. He is the main rapper and is part of the group's performance line.

He ranked 23rd in the MIXNINE Just Dance Showcase, and later ranked 62nd. He was then eliminated during episode 7 after ranking 113th. As a result, he returned to KQ Entertainment as a trainee and geared up for his debut under the agency.
