Nam Ji Hyun's Activities as 4Minute Member
On June 18, 2009, Nam Ji Hyun debuted as a member of CUBE Entertainment's five-member girl group, 4Minute. She was the leader and visual of the band, as well as a vocalist and lead dancer.

On Feb. 1, 2016, 4Minute dropped their seventh mini-album "Act. 7," which became their final album as the group disbanded on June 13 of the same year.

CUBE Entertainment explained that while the agency persuaded the members to continue as a group, the girls have already made up their minds that they will not promote as 4Minute anymore.
A representative of the agency added, "Due to the different opinion of the members, for all intents and purposes, the group will disband."
What Happened to Nam Ji Hyun After 4Minute Disbanded?
Three months after 4Minute's disbandment in June 2016, Nam Ji Hyun signed an exclusive contract with Artist Company as an actress. She then starred in various dramas after that, including "Strongest Deliveryman," "Grand Prince," "Monkey and Dog Romance," and "When the Devil Calls Your Name."

She also legally changed her name to Son Ji Hyun in December 2017, and has since used it for her promotions.

In March 2020, the former 4Minute member left the Artist Company and joined Wells Entertainment. She later parted ways with the agency and moved to FN Entertainment in December 2021. She then returned to using her birth name Nam Ji Hyun for her activities.

On Aug. 8, Urban Works Media announced that they have signed an exclusive contract with Nam Ji Hyun. The company added, "She is an artist we are looking forward to doing even more in the future.
