The dating rumor involving BTS V and BLACKPINK Jennie has been going around the internet since May this year when an alleged photo of the two K-pop idols was captured on Jeju Island.
YG Entertainment briefly responded to the issue, commenting, "We have nothing to say."

The rumor recently resurfaced after a Twitter user by the handle @gurumiharibo uploaded new photos of BTS V and BLACKPINK Jennie.

The first one, which was posted on Aug. 23, features the two artists in a waiting room. The second one, which was shared on the 25th, shows the two singers taking a mirror selfie in what appeared to be the entrance of a luxury apartment (which many claimed to be V's house).

While there is an ongoing debate on whether the two pictures above are edited or not, a new alleged photo of BTS V and BLACKPINK Jennie together began spreading on social media and an online community on Aug. 28.

In the newly released image, it can be seen that a female and a male are wearing matching Winnie the Pooh t-shirts.

As it appears that the photo was also taken using Jennie's phone, netizens are speculating that the BLACKPINK member's iCloud got hacked and leaked, that is, if the surfacing pictures are indeed V and Jennie.
On the popular Korean online community Instiz, a few of the comments are:
"Where the hell are the photos coming from?"
"I heard Jennie's iCloud was hacked and the hacker is asking for something in exchange."
"Is it really Jennie?"
"Just leave them alone."
"Stop hacking. Celebrities are people too."
"Can't the agency stop the hacking?"
"Where was this picture taken from?"
As of press time, neither of the two idols' management agencies has released an official statement to address the matter.

In other news, BTS recently earned new streaming certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

According to the new batch of certifications (dated July 2022), BTS got three new gold certifications with their 2016 hit track "Fire" and their B-side songs "Magic Shop" and Friends." A song is certified gold in Japan once it hits 50 million streams in the country.

"Friends" is the first BTS subunit song produced by a BTS member to receive a gold RIAJ certification for streaming. It is also the first Korean and K-pop B-side song released from 2020 to 2022 to obtain this certification.
With the latest number of streams of these three songs, BTS' total certified streams in Japan has reached 2.63 billion.
