Currently, BLACKSWAN consists of Belgian-Sengalese leader Fatou, Brazilian-Japanese Leia, Indian Sriya, and Brazilian-German Gabi. They are the first K-pop group to have Asian, white, and black members.

BLACKSWAN may be the only active K-pop girl group with all foreign members, but they are not the first.

Though they were formed as a project group for a master's thesis, the four-member boy group EXP Edition was active from 2017 to 2020. At the time, they garnered backlash for being all-white and having no Korean members.

BLACKSWAN's last musical release was their first single album, "Close to Me," on October 14, 2021. The single album included a lead single of the same name.
