This year, KCON is heading to Saudi Arabia for the first time ever. Saudi Arabia has one of the world's youngest populations, with almost half of its population under the age of 30. And K-pop is popular among its young people.

In addition, the Saudi government launched an ambitious reform program called Vision 2030, which aims to foster high value-added industries such as culture and tourism, and chose Korea as one of its strategic partners.

KCON 2022 Saudi Arabia will take place at Boulevard Riyadh City on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, and it will consist of two nights of concerts with different performing acts.
KCON 2022 Saudi Arabia's star-studded lineup includes NewJeans, STAYC, ATEEZ, PENTAGON, The Boyz, P1Harmony, ONEUS, TO1, SECRET NUMBER, Sunmi, Hyolyn, and Rain.

KCON 2022 Saudi Arabia— Which K-pop Artists Are Performing?
Rain, Sunmi, The Boyz, P1Harmony, and SECRET NUMBER will perform on Day 1 (Friday, Sept. 30 local time), while Hyolyn, STAYC, NewJeans, ATEEZ, ONEUS, and TO1 will take the stage on Day 2 (Saturday, Oct. 1 local time).
As it is the first KCON to be held in Saudi Arabia, the organizing committee compiled a lineup where the audience can see the past, present, and future from artists who have decorated the convention over the past 10 years.

Kim Donghyun, CJ ENM's Music Contents Division Head of Convention Live Division, commented, "I am proud that KCON has played a major role in the globalization of Korean culture, making remarkable achievements in Asia and North America, centered on the United States and japan, which have some of the world's largest entertainment markets, over the past 10 years."

He added, "Taking this opportunity to hold an event in Saudi Arabia, we will lead Korean culture in the Middle East, which is rapidly expanding the market, and strive for true globalization by extending to the European market in the future."
Meanwhile, after completing their two-day concert in Saudi Arabia, KCON 2022 will head to Japan to hold three shows from Oct. 14 to 16. The first lineup of performing artists has previously been revealed.

KCON 2022 Wraps Up Its US Tour
In other news, KCON 2022 has recently wrapped up its tour in the United States, with the performing artists being STAYC, LIGHTSUM, CRAVITY, and TO1. The tour kicked off in San Francisco, California on Aug. 22 and 23.

The four acts then performed in Minneapolis on Aug. 24 and 25, Houston on Aug. 26 and 27, Dallas on Aug. 27 and 28, Atlanta on Aug 29 and 30, and New York on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.
