On October 19, the latest episode of a Naver NOW talk show was aired. There, MC Kang Ho Dong's only "girl friend" appeared as the show's 20th guest. Her appearance garnered much attention.
To people's surprise, Kang Ho Dong's only "girl friend" was none other than LE SSERAFIM's Japanese member Sakura. At 25 years old, she is 28 years old younger than Kang Ho Dong.

As soon as Sakura entered the set, Kang Ho Dong introduced her as his "girl friend." The two greeted the viewers warmly by chanting, "Kura! Dong! Cross!"

However, Sakura soon expressed her disappointment in Kang Ho Dong. The female idol playfully scolded him, saying, "It has been five years, but this is only the third time we have seen each other. LE SSERAFIM debuted, but you did not congratulate us."

Kang Ho Dong revealed that he did not have any female friends. Sakura appeared saddened by his words, asking, "You do not have one? Then what I am? Are we not friends?"
Since then, the two have been friends despite their large age gap. Kang Ho Dong apologized, saying, "Oh, you are my first girl friend." To this, Sakura called Kang Ho Dong the first friend she made in Korea and considered them true friends.
In May 2022, Sakura appeared in "Knowing Bros," where Kang Ho Dong is a cast member. When she saw him, she said, "You said you would be friends with me, but you never contacted me. I wanted to see you, but did you not want to see me, Ho Dong?"
