BTS RM & Pharrell Williams Collaborate on New Song- Here's What They Spilled

On Nov. 1, Rolling Stone magazine uploaded an exclusive interview between BTS RM and Pharrell Williams wherein the two singers talked about music, life, and more.

Towards the end of the interview, Pharrell shared the big news that he'd teamed up with not only RM but the BTS members for a song on his forthcoming album "Phriends."

The American artist and producer revealed, "Well, my project, it's called... it's [under] my name, and the title of the album is 'Phriends.' It's the volume one."

He then mentioned BTS, spilling on a collaboration ARMYs can expect in the future.

"You guys [BTS] are on there, obviously," Pharrell Williams said, "And I'm actually talking about this way more than I'm supposed to, but it's a song from my album that [BTS] sang and it's amazing, and I'm super grateful."

BTS RM interjected, "I just love this song," to which the American singer agreed, "I love it too... Everyone that hears it is like, 'Whoa'."

Referring to RM's solo album- which Big Hit Music confirmed on Nov. 1 KST- Pharrell Williams said, "I'm just going to put this out there. You said you're 90 percent done with your solo album. But if within that last 10 percent, if you need- you don't need me, but I mean..."

RM chimed in, "I always needed you, for 15 years," and Pharrell continued, "OK, well, if you want to do something, we can actually do it."

In what seemed to be a confirmation that the two artists might be joining forces for BTS RM's upcoming solo album as well, RM said, "Please... I'm honored and grateful."

While this is the first time that BTS RM openly talked about collaborating with Pharrell Williams, he has been giving hints over the past few months.

During his birthday live broadcast, the "Butter" hitmaker told the viewers that he had been working with different artists. The K-pop idol even shared pictures of the gifts he received from Pharrell in his Instagram stories.

Meanwhile, along with the exclusive interview, Rolling Stone also released a cover photo of BTS RM and Pharrell Williams. The publication wrote in their tweet, "Presenting the @RollingStone Musicians on Musicians 2022 cover stars," and tagged the BTS's and Pharrel's Twitter accounts.
