BTS rapper and leader RM became entangled in marriage rumors following claims made by an infamous Youtuber. Following the claims, RM's label Big Hit Music issued a statement in response. Keep on reading to know more.

BTS RM Entangled in Marriage Rumors After Claims Made by Youtuber

On June 23, infamous Youtube channel Sojang shared a new video claiming that RM is getting married soon. According to the Youtuber, there have been talks that RM's alleged bride had told a close acquaintance of her upcoming marriage to the BTS member.

The rumor was reportedly shared on the same online community site that exposed first-generation idol Seo Taiji's marriage. At the time, Seo Taiji's marriage rumors were thought to be false. However, it was later revealed to be true.

Another celebrity marriage rumor was also shared on the same site, which was later proven to be true as well. Therefore, Sojang's claim concerning RM's marriage rumors is likely to be true due to the site's past confirmed rumors.

According to the post Sojang found, the netizen had shared a KakaoTalk conversation in which their acquaintance was claiming they were getting married and that the groom was RM.

RM's rumored bride is said to be a BTS fan and had met the idol during a fan meeting, which she has been attending since 2014. The alleged bride is also said to be the daughter of a wealthy family and graduated from an Ivy League university.

Although many were skeptical to believe the rumors based on a single KakaoTalk conversation, many also couldn't help but believe the rumors given Seo Taiji's were proven true in the past.

In addition, Sojang is infamous for reporting false information and spreading gossip with little to no evidence.

Big Hit Music Responds to RM's Marriage Rumors

Following the unexpected marriage rumors, RM's label Big Hit Music quickly released a statement in response to reports.

A representative of Big Hit Music shared a brief statement with media outlet Xsports News, stating that the "rumors are not true."

Big Hit Music said,

"The rumors about RM's marriage are groundless. We are continuously taking action against every malicious Youtube content."

Meanwhile, other insiders reportedly claimed that the alleged bride had already been entangled in dating rumors with RM in the past. RM faced dating rumors with a "non-celebrity chaebol" after the idol was seen holding a dog that seemed to belong to a stranger.

Not long after the dating rumors, both RM and Big Hit Music denied the reports. RM also emphasized that he had no idea who the person he was rumored to be involved with was and that the dog he was holding belonged to his friend.
