Where Is Park Haeyoon Now? Status of 'Produce 48' Trainee Who Finished in 19th Place

Park Haeyoon is well-known as a former contestant in Mnet's girl group survival show "Produce 48," which formed the project girl group IZ*ONE. She was only able to finish in 19th place, hence, she didn't make it to the debut lineup that only consisted of 12 trainees.

Four years have already passed since "Produce 48" ended. Where could she be now? Read on to learn her current whereabouts.

About Former "Produce 48" Trainee Park Haeyoon

At the time she competed in Mnet's "Produce 48," Haeyoon was already under FNC Entertainment. She was one of the only two FNC trainees. (The other trainee was Cho Ahyeong.) She was introduced as a contestant on the survival show on May 11, 2018.

In episode 1 of the program, Haeyoon performed Little Mix's "Power" (featuring Stormzy), together with Ahyeong, showcasing her powerful vocals. She has since been assigned to sing the lines with high notes in the succeeding performances, and has received praises from the mentors.

The teams she was part of are those that performed TWICE's "Like Ooh-Ahh (Japanese version)" BoA's "Merry-Chri," "See You Again," and "We Together."

In episode 11, she was one of the candidates for the 20th place, which is the last position available to be able to move onto the finale of the show. Luckily, her name was called. Unfortunately, she only finished in 19th place with 96,612 points.

Following the conclusion of Mnet's "Produce 48," Park Haeyoon returned as a trainee to FNC Entertainment. So, what happened to her after that?

Well, after resuming her training period under FNC Entertainment, Haeyoon leader debuted as a member of the company's girl group, Cherry Bullet, in November 2018. She remains a member of the band, and is currently both the leader and main vocalist.

She initially only held the position of the main vocalist, but after leader Mirae left in December 2019, she was chosen to take Mirae's place, as she is the oldest member.

While she was already a member of Cherry Bullet, former "Produce 48" contestant Park Haeyoon still participated in a survival program.

In September 2019, she became a contestant in the vocal survival show "V-1," which aired on tvN. The purpose of the program is to determine the "Vocal Queen" among the girl group members.

However, she was eliminated in the second round after losing to Dreamcatcher Siyeon. During the second round, she performed g.o.d's "Place Where You Need To Be."

Apart from that, Haeyoon also tried to appear in another Mnet girl group survival show, specifically "Girls Planet 999." It is said that she auditioned for the program, alongside the other Cherry Bullet members. But it is believed that she didn't pass, since she wasn't introduced as a contestant.

Meanwhile, Cherry Bullet made a comeback on March 2 this year with their second EP "Cherry Wish," which features the title song "Love In Space." In August, the members opened their personal Instagram accounts.
