Trance & Resonance: Younha Explains Her Creative Inspiration With 'END THEORY' Album

In an interview with K-Pop map, Younha revealed that her vision and concept for the album was inspired by the movie 'Interstellar.'

The singer stated that the 'wormhole' itself in the movie, makes a perfect joint for connecting her previous sonic style and her current take on musicality.

Younha then explained that she studied the movie thoroughly, since the movie is known for its scientific accuracy. Afterwards, she asked guidance from her visual and planning crew to finalize her vision.

"I think the image of the wormhole that went out as a teaser was fun and amusing to watch, but it was also a part that I thought a lot about. During my 4th and 5th albums, there were many musical changes in my 5th album 'Rescue', but listeners also missed the Younha of the past.

In order to connect these contexts, I studied the movie 'Interstellar' and science documentaries and came up with such an image. Of course, my knowledge was too shallow after studying for only a little while so many people helped me.

Similarly, the visual team and the planning team also came up with various ideas and finally, the image I had in mind could be revealed more clearly."
