Recently, a piece of evidence was found that a former "SIXTEEN" contestant might re-debut as a member of a new K-pop girl group. However, fans have mixed emotions about it.

Keep reading to know her identity.

THIS Former 'SIXTEEN' Contestant Might Be Debuting in New K-pop Girl Group

The former "SIXTEEN" contestant who is believed to be re-debuting as a girl group member is Natty, a Thai idol.

Natty was the youngest contestant on the survival show "SIXTEEN," and yet she managed to make it to the finals and was so close to earning a spot in the debut lineup of JYP Entertainment's girl group TWICE.

After "SIXTEEN," she parted ways with JYP Entertainment and went on to compete in another survival show, specifically "Idol School." Once again, she became one of the finalists but she only finished in 13th place, narrowly missing out on debuting as a member of fromis_9.

Despite failing to be part of a girl group twice, Natty didn't give up on her dream to become an idol in South Korea. She joined Swings Entertainment and finally made her solo debut in 2020.

Actually, she was supposed to debut as a girl group member under Swings but her company decided to let her be a soloist instead.

Then in July this year, Natty signed an exclusive contract with S2 Entertainment, leaving fans curious about the activities the singer will have in the future.

But it seems like fans have gotten the answer they are looking for after a promotional video for S2 Entertainment was released. The clip features Natty along with the company's four other trainees, leading fans to speculate that the girls will debut together as a new K-pop girl group.

Should this idea become a reality, they will be the second female group formed under S2 Entertainment, following HOT ISSUE.

HOT ISSUE was a seven-piece girl group that was launched in April 2021. The members were Mayna, Nahyun, Hyeongshin, Dana, Yewon, Yebin, and Dain. Sadly, the group disbanded on April 22 this year, just a few days before their first anniversary.
