The Mercedes-Benz, which previously belonged to BTS Jungkook and was put for auction online, has reportedly been sold at a high price.

BTS Jungkook's Mercedes-Benz Sold at Auction- Here's Staggering Price

On Dec. 14, Korean media outlets including SBS News reported that the online auction of the Mercedes-Benz hosted by Seoul Auction's "Black Lot" ended on the 13th at 6 p.m. KST.

The vehicle that was put up at an auction is a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon AMG G63 Edition, which is said to have been purchased by BTS Jungkook under his name back in September 2019. It is estimated that its price at that time was around 200 million won (approximately $154,613).

According to Newsen, the car had been in his possession for two years before selling it to a collector this past March. It has been kept in storage since that time.

Black Lot explained that this Mercedes-Benz belonged to a global celebrity but did not disclose the identity of that celebrity. However, the auction gained lots of attention after it was found out that the vehicle belonged to BTS Jungkook.

SBS News reported that the auction, which started last month, was abruptly halted two hours before its scheduled closing because of a large number of unidentified foreign bidders. At the time of its suspension, the highest bid for the car had reached 420 million won ($325,720).

Since then, Black Lot banned minors and foreigners from bidding and resumed the auction on Dec. 6 by allowing bids only after a person deposited five million won ($3,882) to the auction website. It is reported that about 80 people participated in the auction.

The starting auction price for BTS Jungkook's Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon AMG G63 Edition was 150 million won ($116,320), and the vehicle was finally sold at 1.2 billion won ($930,559)- the highest price ever since the auction was launched in October 2021. The identity of the winning bidder is not disclosed.

Sports Chosun reported that the successful bidder must pay a total of 1,244,965,000 won, which includes the 1.2 billion won bid, a 3.3% purchase fee of 39,765,000 won ($300,716), and a delivery fee of 200,000 won (approximately $155).

BTS Jungkook Makes History on Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart

In other news, BTS Jungkook recently released his FIFA World Cup 2022 song "Dreamers," which quickly received love from ARMYs around the world.

For the week ending on Dec. 3, "Dreamers" entered at No. 1 on Billboard's Digital Song Sales chart, a weekly ranking of the best-selling songs in the United States.

With this entry, Jungkook has now become the first Korean soloist to land more than one song at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart. His first No. 1 hit was "Left and Right," his collab single with Charlie Puth, which ranked first on the tally back in July.

Outside of the Digital Song Sales chart, Jungkook's "Dreamers" also claimed spots on other Billboard charts. It debuted at No. 1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart, No. 4 on the Global Excl. U.S chart, No. 9 on the Global 200, and No. 10 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100.

The BTS member also re-entered Billboard's Artist 100 at No. 47, spending his third overall week on the tally as a solo artist.
