'Boys Planet' & 'Peak Time' Dominate TV Show Rankings For Non-Drama Shows

On March 2, Good Data Corporation revealed the rankings for their most-watched non-drama programs. In the list, two of the most popular idol programs helmed over the top spots.

Mnet's survival program "Boys Planet" claimed the No. 1 spot on the list, ruling as the most buzzworthy non-drama TV show that caught viewers' interest.

As basis for these rankings, Good Data Corporation retrieves data from a show's exposure. This includes the trend surrounding videos, articles, blogs, social media posts and other aspects that can propel a show to popularity.

Seeing "Boys Planet" on its No. 1 spot is plausible, given its intense sequences and energetic performances.

It was then trailed by JTBC's "Peak Time," which placed on No. 2. "Peak Time" is also a survival show, which focuses on groups who are either ongoing, disbanded, or returned from indefinite hiatus. Viewers who are eager to see the survival program's events, have also contributed views, leading it to place on the No. 2 spot.

Additionally, BTS V ranked No. 3 for the list of top 10 non-drama appearances. The singer was recognized due to his attendance on tvN's variety show "Jinny's Kitchen."

Aside from being a member of the spectacular BTS, V's charms are factors that led to his inclusion.

Meanwhile, boy group VANNER also followed on No. 2, since they gained buzz from viewers. VANNER is also a contestant on JTBC's "Peak Time," who participated with assigned team name, "Team 11:00." Audiences who are rooting for VANNER are expected to see more of them on the show's future episodes.
