BLACKPINK Jisoo Sets New Record for Highest Pre-Order Numbers Achieved by Any Female Artist
With Jisoo's forthcoming release, her comeback is already making waves!
On March 20, Jisoo's agency YG Entertainment revealed her upcoming solo debut album, "ME," has now exceeded a total of 950,000 stock pre-orders ahead of its release.
Accomplishing this amazing act, Jisoo broke the record for the greatest number of stock pre-orders attained by a female solo artist in history. To elaborate further, the overall result of stock pre-orders is derived from the demand's quantity, which mostly comes from fans.
YG Entertainment expressed their thoughts on Jisoo's record-breaking success. The agency stated that Jisoo's accomplishment of being a K-pop soloist "million-seller" is not far behind.
"It may be worth anticipating Jisoo's obtainment of the "million-seller" status with album 'ME' as the first female K-pop soloist, considering there are still 11 days until the comeback drops."

This indicates that if Jisoo successfully achieves the millionth mark, the singer will then be considered as the only fourth soloist in history to reach "million-seller" level. Furthermore, it will also lead Jisoo to achieve such feat as a group member and a soloist.
Notably, Jisoo will also follow Seo Taiji, EXO Baekhyun, and BTS Jin.

The singer's comeback details was first announced on January 2, when her solo project was confirmed by YG Entertainment.
In the notice, the agency disclosed Jisoo's progress on the album's jacket photoshoot and music production. Jisoo's solo debut is scheduled to release on March 31, Friday.

On March 6, a teaser poster was unveiled with the caption "Coming Soon." A greenery sight was displayed, alongside a vibrant red garment laying on the field.
The teasers kept on coming, as followed by March 9 and 13, where Jisoo's stunning visuals were first flaunted.
Afterwards, a gorgeous visual film titled "JISOO - VISUAL FILM #1" was uploaded on March 15.
On March 19, Jisoo uploaded a poster which revealed "FLOWER" as the title for her main track. The photo showcased the singer in a chic fashion and her dazzling visuals.
Jisoo's teaser poster gained attention for its creative design, which featured the Korean translation of "FLOWER" being drawn and stylized as a rose.

On March 22 KST, Jisoo has uploaded her second visual film, which presented a darker and solemn tone.
