TXT, NewJeans To Perform At 'Lollapalooza 2023'

On March 21, Big Hit and Lollapalooza announced that TXT and NewJeans will perform at the famous American Music Festival, Lollapalooza 2023, to be held in Chicago, Illinois, on August 3-6.

TXT made their North American festival debut last year on the "Lollapalooza 2022" stage. In August 2023, the boy group will return as a headliner of the event.

Lollapalooza Music Festival, which has a 30-year history, has spotlighted Paul McCartney from the iconic British band The Beatles, American heavy metal group Metallica, and the British pop band Coldplay.

Lollapalooza 2023 lineup includes American hip-hop superstar Kendrick Lamar, who won the Pulitzer Prize for the first time as a rapper, American pop star Billie Eilish, a Gen-Z icon, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, one of the best bands of all time, and many more.

Aside from TXT and NewJeans, other K-pop rappers and groups are also included in the lineup. The Rose, DPR IAN, and DPR Live are also slated to perform at the upcoming music festival.

TXT To Headline 'Lollapalooza 2023' + NewJeans To Perform

TXT was the first K-pop group in history who perform on stage at Lollapalooza Music Festival. The group performed together with BTS J-Hope, who was the first Korean artist to headline the said music festival.

The boy group and the artist performed in the said music festival in 2022.

Meanwhile, TXT is gearing up for their second world tour, which will include 23 performances in 13 cities around the world. The tour starts to kick off on March 25-26, 2023, at KSPO DOME, Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

Although not a headliner of the upcoming music festival, NewJeans is set to perform in the "Lollapalooza 2023" lineup. This is a breakthrough for the rookie girl group after a year of their debut.

NewJeans is garnering much-attention internationally regardless of the fact that they have never been promoted in the United States. The rookie group is garnering much attention internationally, even though they have never been to the United States to promote.

Earlier, NewJeans demonstrated their presence in the mainstream pop market by spending six weeks on the U.S. Billboard's main singles chart, Hot 100, which represents the grassroots popularity of the local famous music market. Their first single, "OMG," ranked 74th, and the b-side song, "Ditto," is on the 82nd spot on the Billboard Hot 100 as of February 18, 2023.
