10 Most Popular K-pop Artists for March 2023
The Korean Business Research Institute has announced their brand reputation rankings for March, which are full of various K-pop artists.
To determine the rankings, data was analyzed from overall media coverage, community awareness, engagement, consumer participation, and exposure. The rankings were the results of data covered from February 25 to March 25.
Here are the top 10 popular K-pop artists for the month of March!
1. Lim Young Woong
First in the rankings is soloist Lim Young Woong, who overtook the list with a brand reputation index of 8,679,144. This is due to an amazing 5.12 percent increase in his previous February score. This is a heavy contrast of his previous index of 6,505,134.
2. NewJeans
NewJeans filled in the second spot for March, garnering a brand reputation index of 8,331,811. With their increasing popularity in the K-pop scene, NewJeans is a force to be reckoned with.
3. BTS
BTS maintained their position at No. 3, where the gained a brand reputation index of 7,940,535. The K-pop sensation has marked a 37.17 percent increase, surpassing their February score of 6,087,045.
4. BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK shot up the No. 4 position after collecting a brand reputation index of 6,620,229. The "Kill This Love" hitmakers have secured a 33.43 percent increase since their February score.
BLACKPINK also joined the rankings because of their activities as a group, especially when the girls are still embarking on their ongoing world tour, "BORN PINK."
They didn't only get attention as a group. BLACKPINK Jisoo also made headlines because of her dazzling teasers for upcoming solo debut album "ME," and its title track "Flower."
5. TWICE
TWICE made a staggering advance in the fifth place after garnering a brand reputation index of 4,213,991 during the month of March. To break down this result, the group amassed an overwhelming 240.6 percent increase on their score.
Their March result surpassed their February score of 2,613, due to their newly released comeback "SET ME FREE," U.S. promotions, and social media activeness. This led TWICE to move up on one of the top five, from the tenth place in February.
6. Lee Chan Won
Lee Chan Won secured the sixth place with a brand reputation index of 3,723,979.
7. IU
With an index of 3,708,985, IU earned her place on the rankings' No. 7. This March, the actress singer made her way in the trends due to talks of her possible collab with BTS Suga. Apart from potential music releases, IU also became the talk of the town due to starring in the film "Dream," alongside fellow actor Park Seo Joon.
8. Kim Ho Joong
Kim Ho Joong gained an index of 3,276,564 for March.
9. Younha
Placing on No. 9, Younha gained a brand reputation index of 2,870,156.
10. SEVENTEEN
Lastly, SEVENTEEN closed the top 10, earning an index of 2,855,031.
