BTS Suga Debuts in UK Official Charts With New Album 'D-DAY'

Suga has made an amazing accomplishment in the music charts!

On April 28, local time, Suga has now officially joined the United Kingdom's Official Charts, which is the equivalent of Billboard charts in the United States.

The rankings released were covered for the week of April 28 to May 4. It included Suga's title track "Haegeum," that secured the No. 77 spot on the Official Singles chart.

Aside from Official Singles, "Haegeum" also entered multiple charts such as the Official Singles Download Chart in No. 5, Official Singles Sales Chart in No. 8, and Official Video Streaming Chart at No. 10.

"D-DAY," as an album, also made its mark in No. 41 on the Official Albums Chart. This makes Suga's second solo entry following his second mixtape "D-2," in May 2020, which claimed No. 7.

 Among all feats, this achievement led Suga to become the first Korean solo act to place multiple releases on the UK OFFICIAL Albums Chart.

Suga's "D-DAY" also debuted on other numerous charts such as the Official Albums Downloads Chart, and the Official Hip Hop and R&B Albums Chart, both securing the No. 2 spot. It also landed on the Official Album Sales Chart at No. 23, and the Official Albums Streaming Chart at No. 77.

BTS Suga Sets New Record For Highest First-Day Sales Among Soloists in Hanteo

In other news, Suga also made headlines on the Hanteo Chart.

On April 21, it was reported that Suga's "D-DAY" garnered a figure of 1,072,311 copies on its first day. This feat marks the highest first-day sales made by a solo album, scoring a new history in Hanteo.

In a separate note, Suga is the second soloist to become a first-day million-seller in Hanteo, following his fellow bandmate Jimin, who previously owned the record with solo debut album "FACE."

Overall, Suga has become the fifth artist to do so, following his group BTS, TXT, SEVENTEEN, and Stray Kids. Afterwards, "D-DAY" achieved its highest first-week sales from April 21 to 27. In the week's course, the album had sold 1,2777,218 copies.

Notably, this also led Suga to have the ninth highest first-week sales, following SEVENTEEN, BTS, Stray Kids, NCT DREAM, NCT 127, BLACKPINK, and bandmate Jimin.
