YG Entertainment Reveals Statement About BLACKPINK Jennie's Health

As more fans continue to show concern about Jennie, YG Entertainment, on the same day, released an official statement containing an update about the idol.

On Weverse, YG said:

Hello, this is YG Entertainment.

During the BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] IN MELBOURNE concert on June 11th, Jennie couldn't be on stage until the end due to her poor condition.

We apologize to the fans who supported BLACKPINK and came to the venue, and we ask for your understanding.

Jennie showed her willingness to push ahead with the performance until the end, but immediately took measures to ensure sufficient rest and stability with the recommendation of medical staff on the spot.

Jennie felt sorry for not being able to stay with her fans until the end and expressed her intention to recover quickly.

We will do our best to support Jennie to recover her condition as soon as possible. We ask for your understanding once again.

Thank you.

Meanwhile, prior to Jennie, Jisoo earlier tested positive for COVID-19 on June 1, leading her not to attend the Osaka concert held at the Kyocera Dome in Japan on the 3rd and 4th.

Since October 2022, BLACKPINK has been conducting the largest world tour of K-pop girl groups, "BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]," to attract about 1.5 million people which will continue until August 2023.

During that period, the members weren't really able to take enough rest due to their other work as global ambassadors to luxury brands, solo albums and promotions.

With these health conditions of the members, BLINKs then called the attention of YG Entertainment and were asking them to take care of the members' health better, including enough rest and breaks in between.
