SEVENTEEN Dominates on Oricon's Weekly Album Chart, Becomes 1st Foreign Artist to Top with 11 Albums

SEVENTEEN has added a new feat to their career!

On October 31, Oricon officially announced that SEVENTEEN had debuted at No. 1 on its weekly album chart with the 11th mini album "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN." According to the announcement, the album landed on the top spot for the week of October 23 to 29.

With SEVENTEEN's consistent hits that have placed on Oricon's charts, their newest comeback album "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" managed to become their 11th album to secure No. 1 across Oricon, leading them to become the first foreign artist to do so.

"SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" also made Hanteo history by selling over 5 million copies in its first week of release. Its title track also made waves across domestic music charts such as MelOn, Genie, and Bugs, proving the song's increasing popularity among local audiences.

  When SEVENTEEN entered the music charts, CARATs (SEVENTEEN's fandom) celebrated in an online discussion. Fans congratulated the group for bringing in another accomplishment and expressed how deserving the album was due to its good quality.

SEVENTEEN has been consistent in establishing their status as one of third-gen K-pop's powerhouse groups through their music. However, they are also strengthening their position as a representative for youth as well.

In other news, on October 27, agency PLEDIS Entertainment officially announced that SEVENTEEN will be holding a session at the upcoming UNESCO Youth Forum on November 14, in Paris, France.

During the session, SEVENTEEN will reportedly deliver a special performance and give a speech. The forum will also include youth representatives coming from the corners of the globe to provide solutions to problems the younger generation struggles with.
