On her Instagram story, she posted a photo with Jay Park and wrote:

"Just arrived in New York. I woke up to this nonsense. You all need to get a life for real. We all good over here. Happy Holidays, guys!"

Jessi & Jay Park's Discord Issue's Summary

In particular, when the conflict controversy arose, media and fans were quick to speculate that this had something to do with Jessi's activities under the label.

In April, Jessi signed under MORE VISION, a label created by Jay Park, but it was only after about five months that the singer released a new single, "Gum" in October.

At the time, there was high anticipation about her promotion activities since it was also her first release since her hit, "ZOOM" released in April 2022.

She was expected to appear in music shows like KBS2's "Music Bank," but fans were left disappointed after she canceled all her supposed appearances due to poor health.

Later on, it was revealed that she actually skipped music programs after MORE VISION didn't schedule a pre-recording and fearing it would end up with bad stage quality, Jessi made the decision to cancel it.

The media also initially cited that the reason for the contract termination was differences in opinion. Amid this, fans brought back the female singer's interview where she confessed that she initially didn't like her new song, "Gum."

When selecting her new release, she felt pressure due to "ZOOM" popularity and although she saved a lot of great songs she decided to go for the song to pursue a different direction this time.

She confessed that she chose the song to pursue popularity. At the time, she then conveyed her desire to try R&B genres.
