THIS 2nd-Gen K-pop Idol Announces New Fiancé & Remarriage After Divorce

After her first marriage concluded in a divorce, THIS former second-gen idol has announced her new fiancé and re-marriage.

Here's what happened.

Former T-ARA Areum Announces New Fiancé After Divorce with First Marriage

On December 10, Korean news outlet News1 reported that former T-ARA member Areum has officially announced her divorce from non-celebrity and businessman Kim Young Gil, whom she married in 2019.

In an unexpected turn of events, it was also disclosed that the idol was also remarrying as soon as the divorce became finalized.

On December 10, Areum shared her thoughts in an Instagram post, where she explained that she was still in the middle of a divorce, but met a precious person along the way. The post included several pictures of her and her new fiancé.

"I've found someone who wants to be by my side. He is the kind of person whom I didn't want to reveal because he's too precious. It's correct that we're hooked on the auroras, the love that we began, leading us to make it known with a proud heart."

"Even though I was tired from so many things, he still taught me happiness. Somehow, he was also someone in pain than I was, and he was the one who came over to help me when I was down, despite knowing that he might also get hurt in the process."

Areum continued by revealing that the divorce lawsuit was still in process. The idol also clarified that she had not been cheating on her ex-husband and that malicious comments online would receive strong legal action.

"The definition of 'cheating' is when someone decides to love two or more people at the same time. I gave birth to my second child alone, and I've been suffering for a long time. I struggled for long thinking about my children, but now I plan to live my life enjoying it."

"Moving on, speculative and malicious comments will be punished. You're free to think but consider that voicing those thoughts is punishable by law. Please send your thoughts of love and support."

Furthermore, Areum concluded her statement by relaying the remarriage news with her new fiancé. The former T-ARA member stated:

"We will be officially registering our marriage as soon as the lawsuit is over, and we promised to get married. We will achieve our dreams together and will establish the 'Areum Foundation' to help many children in need."

She also expressed her thoughts regarding the divorce papers with her ex-husband.

"Since he didn't sign the papers, we've been divorced already for several years. It just wasn't able to receive a legal stamp. I don't think I need to say too much."

"Discrediting or writing stupid things about him are unnecessary and I don't want to be involved in a messy punishment for things like defamation. I want to place it behind me. I'm only going to think of the good things while forgetting the painful ones."
