Jessica spoke out her true feelings regarding her departure from Girls' Generation.

Here's what the singer said.

Jessica Jung Opens Up Feelings on Shocking Exit from SNSD

On December 20, Jessica was featured as the special guest on "The Daily Ketchup Podcast," which aired its 267th episode.

The episode engaged Jessica on various topics, such as her favorite K-pop artists, the "Diamond Dreams" world tour, and many more. However, at the 23:15 mark, the conversation transitioned to Jessica's humble beginning with her fashion label BLANC & ECLARE.

One of the hosts then inquired about Jessica's decision to establish the company. Jessica then replied that she found it natural to build her own fashion line due to how music and style complement each other well. She also added the positive feedback on her styling.

Denise: "So Jessica, you're also the founder and creative director of your own fashion label BLANC & ECLARE. What made you decide to start the brand?"

Jessica: "It came very naturally to me because I feel like music and fashion always go hand in hand, and for me in particular, I was getting known to people for my fashion, what I wear or carry, and so I felt like, it would be a very nice side project to do and pursue."

After complimenting Jessica's devotion to her goals, the hosts followed a question regarding the public scrutiny during BLANC & ECLARE's early days, since it was also trailed by Jessica's withdrawal from SNSD.

The hosts clarified that they didn't want to pry about what truly happened during the fiasco, but only drew curiosity on what Jessica personally felt during that particular period since she had to leave Girls' Generation and build her own company.

Denise: "So on the note of the public scrutiny, right? I mean, obviously, there was a period of time after you left the band, where a lot of people were speculating on what really happened."

Denise: "I don't think it's our place to ask about the behind-the-scenes, but I think I'm curious about how that was for you because I could only imagine how emotionally heavy must have been, so what went through your head that period of time,"

Denise: "And at the same time also then, trying to make your brand work?"

Jessica replied that during her departure from Girls' Generation, she considered it as "one of the darkest times" in her life. However, she assured that comfort was still there thanks to everyone who supported her in that period.

Jessica: "You know, I try to put the past behind me, and I always try to look at the brighter things, brighter side. Of course, that time was one of the darkest times of my life, it's the darkest period of my life."

Jessica: "But I had my family and friends to really support me. My fans were always there, and I didn't feel alone. I felt like it was a good transitioning period and time for me to grow up."
