Stray Kids, NewJeans, More Land Spots on Billboard's 1st World Albums Chart in 2024

The first week of January 2024 has passed, and with the year starting, fans are more than excited to receive more bop releases from their favorite K-pop artists.

However, Billboard decided to release its first World Albums Chart this 2024. According to the list, the chart was for the week ending on January 6. The list contained numerous 2023 releases, which are all well-loved by domestic and international fans worldwide.

1. 'ROCK-STAR' by Stray Kids

Stray Kids managed to claim the top spot in the World Albums Chart with their eighth mini album "ROCK-STAR." The album was released on November 10, 2023, along with its title track "LALALALA."

2. 'THE WORLD EP. FIN: WILL' by ATEEZ

ATEEZ made it on second place by landing their second full-length album "THE WORLD EP. FIN: WILL," which was released on December 1, 2023. Moreover, the album is commanded by its title track "Crazy Form."

3. 'Get Up' by NewJeans

NewJeans made it on No. 3 with their second mini album "Get Up," which was one of the best releases of 2023. With this album, NewJeans threaded 2023 with a blast, since most of the album's songs were all appreciated and promoted equally.

Aside from its self-titled track. "Get Up" also contains lovely B-side songs such as "New Jeans" and "ASAP," along with triple title tracks "Super Shy," "ETA," and "Cool With You."

4. 'ORANGE BLOOD' by ENHYPEN

ENHYPEN's fifth mini album "ORANGE BLOOD" placed No. 4.

5. 'The Name Chapter: FREEFALL" by TOMORROW X TOGETHER

TXT's "The Name Chapter: FREEFALL" is the group's fifth studio album, which rounded the top five in Billboard's World Albums Chart for the first week of January 2024.

6. 'SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN' by SEVENTEEN

"SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" claimed No. 6 in Billboard's World Albums chart. The album is SEVENTEEN's 11th mini album and was released on October 23, 2023.

7. '★★★★★ (5-STAR)' by Stray Kids

Stray Kids followed on the No. 7 spot with their third full-length album "★★★★★ (5-STAR)," which is one of the best-selling K-pop albums in 2023. It was released on June 2, 2023.

8. 'Proof' by BTS

BTS's first anthology album "Proof" trailed closely in No. 8, despite being released in June 2022.

9. 'Fact Check' by NCT 127

NCT 127's fifth studio album "Fact Check" secured No. 10 on Billboard's original rankings.

10. 'Drama' by aespa

On No. 13, aespa placed with their fourth mini album "Drama." The album was released on November 10, 2023.

11. 'O!RUL8.2?' by BTS

BTS claimed No. 14 with their first mini album "O!RUL8,2?," which was released on September 11, 2013.

12. 'New Jeans' by NewJeans

Lastly, NewJeans placed No. 15 with their debut, self-titled album "New Jeans."
