BTS V proved he's not only good-looking but also has acting talent following his appearance in IU's "Love Wins All" music video.

On January 24, the much-awaited music video for IU's pre-released track, "Love Wins All," featuring BTS V, was unveiled through the female singer's official SNS.

Directed by Um Tae Hwa, depicts the story of two people who can't speak or see and try to survive in a dystopian worldview through "love."

BTS V Praised for Acting Skills in 'Love Wins All' MV

Initially, people raised their brows against BTS V's appearance in the film-like music video. Compared to IU, he is a rookie in acting who is yet to prove himself.

Throughout his career, he has only acted in 2016 for a supporting role in the KBS drama, "Hwarang."

However, after the MV was unveiled, V broke expectations for his impressive performance, which earned an enthusiastic response from both viewers and K-pop fans.

In the music video, V plays the role of a person who only sees the world with one eye.

Watching him, V outstandingly expresses a wide range of raw emotions, including the genuine happiness during his "wedding scene" with IU, up to the part where he willingly tries to sacrifice himself and fights with the "cube" to save his lover.

V, who increased viewers' immersion with his excellent acting, received positive comments such as:

• "The facial expressions are really harmonious."
• "I thought you were (only) handsome, but you're also good at using your face."
• "He's a real face genius."

As a result, fans and netizens are showing disappointment that the music video is only short and not a full-length movie.

As BTS V is currently serving in the military, attention is focusing on how the idol, will perform as an actor following his discharge.

IU x BTS V 'Love Wins All' Earns Immense Love from Global Fans

As of January 25, the official MV surpassed 16 million views on YouTube, just a day after its release.

Indeed, this is thanks to the collective effort of Director Um Tae Hwa and his worldview, along with the passionate chemistry, performance and synergy of IU and BTS V.

Not only the MV, but the digital source of the song also topped various music charts, including ranking #1 at the MelOn Top 100.
With this, IU's "Love Wins All" became the fastest among female artists to reach the top ranking within an hour, after the chart reorganization in August 2021.

In addition to this, not only domestic but also overseas chart performances are eye-catching. On the iTunes Top Song Chart, it topped 23 regions worldwide, including Bahrain, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Finland, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and many more.
