Amid rumors that G-Dragon is dating the former Miss Korea runner-up, the icon's agency immediately released its official statement.

Galaxy Corporation Releases Statement on G-Dragon - Kim Go Eun Dating Speculations

"K-pop King" G-Dragon has been rumored to be dating Kim Go Eun, a beauty queen, since summer last year. The rumor sparked when the two were spotted watching a PSG Game at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, Japan in July 2023.

At the time, GD posted mirror selfies and keen-eyed fans noticed that it coincided with the posts made by the beauty queen, who also took photos at the same elevator and building.

Rumors also stated that Kim Go Eun was present when the K-pop superstar celebrated his birthday in August 2023 along with close friends.

With this, speculations of a romantic relationship erupted, with claims that the said "couple" watched the game together and are doing "lovestagram."

The "girlfriend" in question is Kim Go Eun, a 2000-born beauty queen, model, and actress. The 23-year-old personality made her name known for her striking beauty, which led her to be crowned as a runner-up at the "2022 Miss Korea" beauty pageant.

A year has passed but the rumor is still ongoing; thus, Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon's agency, told the K-media:

"G-Dragon is not in a relationship with Kim Go Eun. The two are just close friends with an oppa-dongsaeng (sibling-like) relationship. I hope you don't misunderstand."

An industry insider also added that their circle of friends overlapped since Kim Go Eun also knows a lot of people from the entertainment industry, which explains their sightings together.

After making numerous headlines, Kim Go Eun also drew the line on the dating rumors by telling Hankook Ilbo:

"I am just an acquaintance with G-Dragon."

Kim Go Eun made her name known by being selected as the runner-up at the "66th Miss Korea Pageant" in 2022.

She graduated from the Department of Air Transportation at Inha University and has been attracting attention since she won the preliminaries in the Incheon region of Gyeonggi Province by going viral for her appearance resembling aespa Karina.

Currently, she is a member of Global E&B and is continuing various activities such as modeling for a beauty brand and appearing on web entertainment shows.

She previously revealed her dream of becoming a beauty and fashion creator and expanding her presence as an influencer.

BIGBANG G-Dragon Dating History

This is not the first time that G-Dragon was embroiled in a dating rumor.

Throughout his career, he has been linked to a list of celebrities, including K-pop idols like former After School Lee Joo Yeon and BLACKPINK Jennie. He was also rumored to date Japanese top stars like Kiko Mizuhara and Nana Komatsu.

However, G-Dragon has never admitted any of his rumored romantic relationships, and all ended with him stating that they are just "close friends."
