Global girl XG has partnered up with a massive video game for a collaboration single!

K-pop groups partnering up with video game franchises has been a popular trend in K-pop lately. In October 2023, NewJeans collaborated with League of Legends to release "GODS," while LE SSERAFIM released "Perfect Night" that same month to promote Overwatch 2.

Now, it's XG's turn!

XG Partners Up With Valorant For Collaboration Single

On April 5, 2024, it was announced that XG would be partnering with Valorant to release a collaboration single in-line with the upcoming VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) Pacific Stage.

VCT Pacific has teamed up with XG, who are known for their R&B and hip-hop-inspired sound, to release the special collaboration single "UNDEFEATED" on April 12.

The track titled "UNDEFEATED" promises to deliver a fusion of XG's unique confidence and VCT Pacific's message of fearlessly conquering challenges.

The song will showcase the unique vocal color of the XG members, paired with a heavy bassline, minimalist drum arrangements, and an ethereal synthesizer. Notably, this marks XG's very first video game collaboration, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans.

In addition to the global streaming release, fans can also look forward to an exclusive music video premiering on the VCT Pacific YouTube channel on the same day.

XG Recent Activities

XG released their first mini-album, "New DNA," featuring the lead single "Puppet Show," on September 27. The EP quickly garnered acclaim, achieving gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) for shipping over 100,000 copies.

Before the EP's official release, XG released several pre-release singles. The first pre-release, "GRL GVNG," was released on June 30. The second, "TGIF," was released on August 24. On August 23, they release "New Dance," accompanied by a visually stunning music video, serving as the third and final pre-release single.

On March 6, XG made their entry into the prestigious Mediabase US Radio Top 40. They are the first female Japanese artists and the first Japanese group to achieve this milestone.

On January 25, 2023, XG released their third all-English-language single, "Shooting Star." Additionally, the group released an additional track, "Left Right."
