JYJ's Yoochun Questioned, Not Facing Charges

JYJ’s Yoochun was brought in by local police recently. Don’t panic Kpop fans, it doesn’t seem to be too serious. The popular singer was called in by authorities for a brief questioning in regards to yacht safety rules.

Yoochun’s briefing seems to be more of a reference and statement session involving safety regulations. On January 26 local media reported that Yoochun was investigated by the Namhae District Police for failing to receive the proper safety inspection for a yacht registered in his name.

Authorities released a short statement in regards to Yoochun and their questioning. “We cannot further elaborate on Yoochun’s investigation. But it was more of a questioning process as a reference for this case.”
JYJ’s agency declined to release any details on the issue. Only stating, “We’re looking into the matter now. We have nothing to say at this point.”

By Korean law, all yacht owners in Korea are required to have an annual inspection for their yachts. Failure to comply with regulations could result in a fine of up to $1,600. As of now, Yoochun is not facing any charges.
