Yoo Se Yoon Returns To The Spotlight: Star Rejoins 'SNL Korea' Cast, Films New Music Video With UV

Following a two-month period mostly spent out of the spotlight after he turned himself in for drunk driving on May 29, South Korean comedian and rapper Yoo Se Yoon is back with a vengeance.

In addition to his return to the cast of "Saturday Night Live Korea" ("SNL Korea") on Saturday, Yoo has also reportedly shot a new UV music video with bandmate Muzi.

"UV recently completed filming for their music video, and they've gone into post-production. They plan to release their new single on August 16," an anonymous industry insider told the website allkpop.

And although Yoo's management at Koen Stars had not heard about the new video a company spokesman said that isn't too uncommon for UV.

"There are many aspects of UV's activities that are run by Yoo Se Yoon himself," the spokesperson said.

With the loss of two popular cast members exiting the show, according to a network representative for "SNL Korea," Yoo's return is just one of a series of changes the show is undergoing this season.

"Kim Seul Gi and Choi Il Gu will leave while Yoo Se Yoon will return, and there will be a change to the crew," the rep said.

"A new cast will be completed by this September. We are currently listing the candidates for the cast."

Back in May, Ilsan police booked Yoo after he turned himself in with a blood alcohol level of 0.117 percent, according to the website Soompi.

Local authorities said they had never seen anything like it.

"There was no accident due to the DUI," an Ilsan police spokesperson announced following an official investigation.

"Yoo Sae Yoon felt guilty and that is why he turned himself in. This is the first time that somebody turned himself in after drunk driving."

Because Yoo's blood alcohol level was above .10, his license was permanently revoked, according to South Korean law.

The odd nature of the star's arrest caused some fans to wonder if the comedian had staged the incident to get out of show business.

Two days after he turned himself in, Yoo took to Twitter to apologize to fans.

"I am sorry," he wrote.

"I gave a huge disappointment to all the people that love me. The incident happened impulsively because I had a lot of stress."
