Brown Eyed Girls singer Ga In dismissed rumors that she had had the cosmetic enhancement procedure known as double eyelid surgery in an interview on Monday for South Korean television.

During the Brown Eyed Girls appearance on "Taxi," a show that features interviews conducted in a moving car (sort of like "Cash Cab" with celebrities but no cash), host Kim Gu Ra grilled Ga In about the recent plastic surgery rumors.

"Is the dark eyeliner hiding the possibility that you've been having double eyelid surgery little by little?" Kim asked.

"I feel like your eyes have gotten gradually bigger since your debut days."

Ga In told the host, known for provoking his guests with hard-hitting questions, that the implication was ridiculous.

"I didn't get plastic surgery," she said. "Also, so many people are keeping a close watch on my eyes that I couldn't even undergo surgery.  My eyes got bigger after naturally losing my baby fat."

The Brown Eyed Girls singer went on to admit that she had once wanted double eyelid surgery very badly.

"Honestly, I went to the plastic surgery clinic once because I wanted to get double eyelids," Ga In said. 

"However my mother had already told the doctor, 'tell her that it is impossible to do surgery on her eyes.'  Back then, I cried a lot and gave up on double eyelid surgery.  But around that time, the smoky eye make-up started becoming a trend."

Like her Brown Eyed Girls bandmate Narsha, Ga In has admitted to having plastic surgery in the past and has called the experience a positive one, a move that the group was praised for in a Dec. 21 editorial for the publication Seoul Beats.

"Brown Eyed Girls has always been a little more honest than other idols about plastic surgery, with the exception of ZE:A's Kwanghee perhaps, with both Narsha and Ga-In openly stating that they received plastic surgery and are happier because of it," the editorial read.

"And why not? Brown Eyed Girls was a group that people in the K-pop industry worried about because their looks weren't up to idol standards, so it must make the members feel much more confident and stable in their group's popularity to have the faces they are expected to have."
