Billboard's K-Pop Hot 100 Has A New Number 1 As Mad Clown And Sistar's Soyou Sail Into The Pole Position With 'Stupid In Love'

After three weeks at number one, a new chart-topping single knocked "Touch Love" from singer Yoon Mi Rae down to number two.

That single is the duet "Stupid In Love" from Sistar singer Soyu and the rapper Mad Clown.

And although a delay in chart reporting last week, presumably because of the Chuseok holiday, made it appear that the Billboard K-pop Hot 100 results hadn't changed from the previous week (we thought that seemed a bit fishy), Billboard.com is now reporting that "Stupid in Love" was actually number one last week.

"Touch Love" was at number two.

Released on September 10, "Stupid In Love" immediately achieved what is referred to in K-pop as an "all-kill," meaning it was number one on all of the South Korean pop charts.

In addition to performing on the song, Mad Clown has a co-writing credit on the track, along with  Kim Do Hoon and written by Min Yeon Jae.

And continuing the chart dominance of the "Master's Sun" soundtrack ("Touch Love" is also from the soundtrack to the popular drama), actor and singer Seo In Guk's "No Matter What" debuted at number three on the charts this week.

Written by Hwang Se Joon, Melodesign and Kim Ji Hyang, the song is meant to offer the perspective of the lead role on "Master's Sun" that Seo plays, according to the website allkpop.

G-Dragon is still holding onto a spot in the Billboard K-pop top five.

The Big Bang rapper and frontman is in number four with the song "Crooked" off his successful double album "Coup d'Etat" part one and two.

G-Dragon's song "Black" featuring Jennie Kim is currently at number six.

G-Dragon created a publicity blitz recently as he released a steady stream of singles throughout the month, at one point having 11 of his songs in the Billboard K-pop top 50.

And rounding out the Billboard K-pop top five is another hit single from the "Master's Sun" soundtrack, Sistar singer Hyorin's single "Crazy of You."

If making television dramas doesn't work out for the producers of "Master's Sun," perhaps they should consider opening a record label. With this kind of chart success, they obviously know a thing or two about how to record a hit.
