2AM member Jinwoon is currently receiving emergency treatment for a car accident on October 6 that fractured his ankle.

The idol singer was on his way to Seoul after an event with his manager and another JYP Entertainment staff member when their vehicle was struck by a large truck resulting in some rather serious injuries.

According to a statement by Big Hit Entertainment, "The car Jinwoon was riding in crashed with a 25-ton truck at 11:30pm on October 6. He fractured his right ankle and has a laceration that is about 10 centimeters long."

The company also revealed that the 2AM singer would be going into emergency surgery early on October 7.

The other passengers in the car were also badly injured and are currently receiving treatment as well.

This of course comes after it was reported that Jinwoon had suffered a torn ligament in his left ankle in late August while exercising, requiring him to wear a cast for three weeks as it healed.

We will have to wait and see how Jinwoon's surgery goes before we can expect a statement from his agency regarding how the accident will affect the singer's participation in his group's upcoming activities, but we wish him a quick recovery.
