A Week Before Their Final Battle, The 'WIN: Who Is Next?' Contestants Share Their Tales Of Blood, Sweat And Tears

Nobody said becoming a K-pop idol would be easy.

On Friday's episode of "WIN: Who Is Next?," the reality show pitting two boy bands against each other for the chance at a record deal with YG Entertainment, the 11 contestants opened up about the fierce competition.

The two boy bands, referred to on the show as Team A and Team B, will face off in the final battle of the season in next week's episode.

Team A's Kang Seung Yoon had tears in his eyes as he described how conflicted the contest is making him.

"Winning does not make me feel good," Kang said.

"My Team B friends don't even go to school so they can absorb themselves in practicing all night through blood and sweat.  If we only had one road, we could all simply dream of becoming the winner.  I hate the idea of us not becoming the winners, but I also hate the idea of winning by stepping all over my [friends in Team B's] hard work."

Team B leader B.I admitted he has also felt conflicted competing against his peers.

"I don't want to lose because I am the leader," B.I said.

"I can't let my attachment to [my friends in team A] shake me.  I want to stand on stage as soon as possible to show ourselves and hear the crowd's cheers and feel their joy."

B.I's team B bandmate Jin Hwan would like both teams to be considered by the label, no matter who wins "WIN: Who Is Next?"

"I wish all eleven contestants could go to [YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk's office] together, kneel in front of him, and beg him to let us all debut together," he said.

But Yang isn't the only one fanning the competitive flame, according to Team A's Kim Jin Woo.

"After the JYP battle broadcast was finished, my mother called me in tears," he said.

"At the time she cried because we lost, but this time, I want her to cry because we won."
