Is it the Girls' Generation's turn to date now? The girls aren't afraid to reveal their dating status.

Girl group Girls' Generation members Yoona publicized her relationship with Lee Seung Gi on the 1st, and Sooyoung was not far behind in revealing her relationship with Jung Kyung Ho on the 3rd. It's much different than the past idols' relationships in which they were busy hiding them from the public. Now they just acknowledge their relationship openly. Well, at least for the Girls' Generation girls, anyway.

Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho revealed their relationship status after Yoona and Lee Seung Gi first came forth. The Girls' Generation couples are the first and second openly dating star couples in 2014.

On January 3rd a news source revealed photos of Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho on a date and reported that the couple has been dating for a year now. After the news was published, reps from both agencies commented, "It's true that Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho are dating. They first spent time with one another as close junior-senior acquaintances, but started to get close last year" and admitted to the relationship.

The two were involved in a relationship rumor last February, then again in October. At the time both of their agencies denied the rumor, saying that they are alumni of the same university and are close junior-senior acquaintances that attend the same church. However, when the news source published the photos of the couple on a date and reported that they're dating, they finally admitted to the veracity of the matter.

Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho's relationship is being congratulated by their fans. It's true that they first tried to hide the truth, but that's because of the burden that comes with being celebrities and all. It seems now that everyone is looking kindly upon their bright and healthy relationship.

Likewise, Yoona and Lee Seung Gi revealed their relationship on the 1st. After their relationship was reported, both sides admitted to rumors being true, and stated, "They're still carefully getting to know each other." This is Lee Seung Gi's first relationship since his debut. Girls' Generation Yoona is openly in an official relationship for the first time.

Yoona and Lee Seung Gi have been receiving a lot of congratulations. Although many jealous comments that could have arisen from this good news, fans are taking the news well, and are happy for the couple. Even their past appearances and interactions are being revisited, and they're being made called a match made in heaven.

And so, both Sooyoung and Yoona have revealed their relationships. It's a different reaction from the previous tendencies to hide relationships, but a very welcome change.
