KBS Refuses To Air Tae Jin Ah’s ‘La Song’ - It Was Okay For Rain, So Why Not Tae Jin Ah?

KBS made opposing decisions on Rain's "La Song" and Tae Jin Ah's version of the same song, and fans are curious to know why.

Tae Jin Ah's "La Song" is one of the songs contained in his 2014 Tae Jin Ah Honey I Like You! album, which was released on the 10th this week. It's a remake of Rain's "La Song". However, KBS announced on the 19th that Tae Jin Ah's version is unfit for broadcast because it contains brand names such as 'Maserati' and 'Ferrari' in the lyrics.

Since Tae Jin Ah used the same lyrics, Rain's version also contained these key brand names. So why was Rain's version deemed fit for broadcast? After all, it aired on various music programs, including KBS 2TV's "Music Bank".

A KBS rep clarified the situation on the 20th, and said, "In Rain's case, he pronounced the words as 'Maserella' and 'Ferrala', and the lyrics were submitted to KBS and deemed appropriate for broadcast. However, Tae Jin Ah's submitted lyrics contained the words 'Maserati' and 'Ferrari.' That's why his song was labeled unfit for broadcast." The rep continued, "If Tae Jin Ah's agency fixes the problem and resubmits the song, we plan to give it the green light for broadcast."

KBS also named other songs as unqualified for broadcasting on the 19th, including Gain's "Fxxx U", Yery Band's "Wonderland", Swings' "I'll Overcome 2", N-ZIN's "Crazy Woman", Sasquatch's "Paradox", and Liquid's "Avenue".
