Despite her provocative image, 4Minute rapper and sex symbol HyunA claims it takes her a while for her to become comfortable enough with someone to start dating them.

On Wednesday's episode of the South Korean radio show "Lee So Ra's Gayo Plaza," HyunA broke down what it takes to be her man.

"I don't have a particular ideal type," she said.

"I like someone who I can connect with. I am the style where I have to know someone for a long time to like him, so I like someone who gets along well with me."

The 21-year-old star raised eyebrows in an interview Tuesday on the cable talk show "Beatles Code 3D," when she claimed that unlike the dating restrictions placed on numerous other K-pop acts by their management, 4Minute's label, Cube Entertainment, encourages the group to enjoy an active social life.

"Actually, there was no dating prohibition from the start," HyunA said. "The label actually tells us to go ahead and date, because there are so few rumors about us."

Yet it appears Cube Entertainment executives may get their wish.

Beyond just what she said in the "Beatles Code" interview, HyunA's behavior on camera had the Internet buzzing, both for her decision to put on red lipstick immediately after her comments about 4Minute's dating freedom and her slumping posture throughout the television appearance.

Allkpop reader Neon Pink was among those viewers confused by HyunA's antics.

"I thought it was quite weird that she just started pulling her lipstick out and started to apply it," Pink wrote.

"I think she should have been more careful. Korea is all about manners and if she saw some earlier articles about the rude behavior of celebrities she would have known that."
