As top K-pop girl groups 2NE1 and Girls' Generation continue to dominate the scene, some fans are claiming allkpop has a 2NE1 bias over SNSD.

Most recently, allkpop published an article about 2NE1's new music video reaching 10 million views. This has yet again ignited the argument that the publication favors the YG girl group over Girls' Generation.

"Allkpop's biased views towards 2NE1 is quite upsetting. They tweeted about 2NE1 reaching 10 million, but not for SNSD," 2NE1 fan Corrine wrote on the microblogging website Twitter on Tuesday.

Since Girls' Generation and 2NE1 are considered to be the top two female K-pop groups, the argument between Blackjacks and Sones of unfair bias has a longstanding tradition. Some believe that publications use both names to ignite fanwars and cause readership and comments to skyrocket.

"Sones and Blackjacks are example of obsession fandoms. Fighting for views everyday," wrote user Noobstuff on the allkpop comment section of a 2NE1 article.

"This place does have a surprising ton of [Blackjacks] and YG fans, and a mod or mods that is very BJ/YG bias," concured Karaunnifan on an allkpop forum on February 7.

"This is so true. Allkpop's writers have been biased towards 2NE1's 'Come Back Home' against SNSD," tweeted SNSD fan Corrine on Wednesday.

The competition was magnified when 2NE1 and Girls' Generation made their comebacks during the same week earlier this year.

This caused major K-pop publications to compare the two groups and their respective performances.

But others, however, believe that allkpop is simply praising the two popular groups equally.

"Actually I think this place is both 2NE1 And Soshi biased. Which is natural considering they're the biggest girl groups," added Ash3070 on allkpop in a 2NE1 article.
