Two weeks after the Sewol ferry tragedy, dramas are slowly returning and airing in South Korea. Though, for the variety and music shows, they are not yet returning because of the emotion that the people are feeling. Now is not the time to smile, laugh, and dance; which is why the shows are not yet broadcasting for this week.

When Are Variety and Shows Returning?

Since dramas are slowly returning, the question comes on when variety and music shows are returning. One broadcast representative made a prediction on when variety and music shows will resume broadcasting. The representative said, "We are still watching the situation, and from these observations we will decide how to go about broadcasting shows. However, variety shows will start to air on television, and we predict that music shows will start back again in one or two weeks.”

What Shows Are Still Not Broadcasting This Week and What Shows Will Broadcast

This week, the shows not broadcasting includes 'M! Countdown' because of the emotion that the country is feeling.

Other variety shows that are postponed are 'Hot Moment, XOXO' which was supposed to air on May 1st. Another show that is still being decided is 'Trot X,' which is scheduled to air on May 2nd.

The shows that will broadcast and initiate are tvN's 'Flower Grandpa Investigation Unit' on May 9th and Olive TV's 'Master Chef Korea 3' on May 10th. There will be a press conference for both shows on May 7th.
