On May 9, actor Joo Ji Hoon and singer Gain officially acknowledged that they have recently entered a relationship.

In the music video of Gain's "FxxK U", released in January, the two celebrities appeared as a couple. After their meeting through the filming of the music video, their relationship progressed to something more. Both parties admitted that they have been going out after a paparazzi captured pictures of Joo Ji Hoon and Gain at a John Mayer concert together on May 6.

Joo Ji Hoon's agency Key East Entertainment stated: "It's only been a month since they have started the relationship; they've known each other for a while, but they've become closer after Joo Ji Hoon made an appearance in Gain's music video. It's with caution that we acknowledge their relationship; please show your continued support."

Gain's agency also claimed: "They've started a relationship with good feelings after the music video."
